Bug Blower for Electronics Assembly — Manufacturer & Supplier
Vayuvents Pvt. Ltd. manufactures and supplies bug blowers for electronics assembly — delivering high-velocity directed airstreams for surface cleaning, insect removal, and debris blowdown.
Electronics assembly environments require dust-free surfaces for reliable solder joints, conformal coating adhesion, and optical inspection. Dust and airborne fibres trapped in PCB assemblies cause field failures through tracking, short circuits, and corrosion.
Bug blowers provide a safe, chemical-free method to remove loose dust and particles from PCB assemblies, component reels, SMT stencils, and electronic equipment surfaces — without moisture risk or compressed air oil contamination.
Vayuvents supplies electronics industry bug blowers in ESD-safe construction — with earthed casings, anti-static impellers, and oil-free motor bearings — suitable for ESD-protected workstations and electronics clean rooms.
How It Works in This Application
Dust and Particle Accumulation
Electronic assembly areas accumulate flux residue, solder balls, component tape particles, and airborne dust that contaminate PCB surfaces and cause assembly defects if not removed.
ESD-Safe Blowdown
The bug blower removes loose particles from PCB assemblies and component storage before assembly — the earthed casing prevents static charge build-up that could damage ESD-sensitive components.
Pre-Coating Blowdown
Before conformal coating application, the bug blower removes flux residue and particles from the PCB — ensuring the coating bonds directly to the surface without particulate inclusions.
Clean Room Area Maintenance
Between production runs, bug blowers clean SMT stencils, pick-and-place feeders, and assembly conveyor surfaces of solder paste residue and component particles.

FAQs
ESD-safe bug blowers have metallic (MS or aluminium) casings earthed via a grounding lug and flexible earth cable, anti-static impeller material, and oil-free bearings. The earthed metallic casing prevents static charge accumulation on the fan body during operation.
Standard bug blowers can suspend particulate matter. For ISO Class 7 or better clean rooms, Vayuvents supplies clean room bug blowers with HEPA-filtered inlets and outlets that prevent particle addition to the clean room environment.
Hold the nozzle 150 to 250mm from the PCB and move steadily across the assembly — working from one edge to the other. Direct airflow parallel to the board surface to avoid damaging fine wire bonds and tall component leads. Never blow directly at open connectors.
Bug blowers effectively remove loose granular or flaky flux residue. Wet or sticky no-clean flux residue requires chemical cleaning — air blowdown cannot remove it.
Avoid directing high-velocity airstream at small SMT components (0402, 0201 sizes) before reflow — they can be dislodged. Bug blower cleaning of SMT-populated boards is best done after reflow when components are solder-bonded.
Yes. Vayuvents supplies bug blowers with an ionising bar at the outlet for neutralising static charges on PCB surfaces and component packaging during blowdown.
