Vayuvents Pvt. Ltd. manufactures and supplies FRP axial flow fans for cooling tower applications โ€” from small HVAC cooling towers to large industrial process cooling towers in power plants and refineries across India and export markets.

Cooling towers reject heat from industrial processes and HVAC systems by evaporating a small portion of circulating water into the airstream. The axial fan is the heart of the cooling tower โ€” it drives the large volume of air through the tower fill media required for effective evaporative cooling.

Cooling tower environments are exceptionally demanding โ€” continuous exposure to warm, humid, salt-laden air creates rapid corrosion of standard MS components. Vayuvents supplies FRP blades and GI or FRP casing for cooling tower axial fans, providing the corrosion resistance needed for long maintenance-free service life.

We supply both induced-draft fans mounted on top of the tower and forced-draft fans mounted at the base. Fan speed and pitch are selected to achieve the required airflow for the tower thermal duty at lowest possible energy consumption.

Air Intake

The axial fan draws ambient air into the cooling tower through louvers at the tower base or forces air in from the base depending on the draft configuration.

Air Flow Through Fill Media

The airstream passes upward through the fill media where it contacts warm process water flowing downward, achieving evaporative heat transfer.

Evaporation and Heat Rejection

A small percentage of water evaporates, carrying latent heat away in the exhaust airstream and cooling the remaining water by 5 to 12 degrees Celsius.

Exhaust to Atmosphere

The warm humid air exits at the top of the tower. The cooled water collects in the basin and is pumped back to process heat exchangers.
