Cyclone Dust Collector for Rice & Grain Mill — Manufacturer & Supplier
Vayuvents Pvt. Ltd. manufactures and supplies industrial cyclone dust collectors for rice & grain mill dust separation applications across India and export markets.
Rice milling and grain processing generate significant quantities of husk, bran dust, and grain flour that must be separated before exhaust. Rice husk is valuable as biomass fuel — cyclone collectors recover it dry and clean for use in husk-fired furnaces or boilers.
Grain and rice mill dust is combustible — rice husk dust, wheat flour, and sugar dust all have explosive characteristics requiring properly earthed and explosion-protected equipment. Cyclone dust collectors provide simple, maintenance-free primary separation.
Vayuvents supplies grain and rice mill cyclone collectors in food-grade MS with appropriate access provisions for hygiene inspection — meeting FSSAI food processing equipment guidelines.
How It Works in This Application
Rice Husk and Bran Generation
Rice milling generates husk, broken rice, and bran as by-products carried in paddy ventilation and aspiration airstreams of the dehusker, whitener, and sorter machines.
Aspiration Fan and Cyclone
An aspiration fan draws husk-laden airstream from each machine through the collection ductwork to the cyclone positioned above the husk collection pit or conveyor.
Husk Collection in Cyclone
The cyclone separates 85 to 95 percent of the rice husk from the airstream, collecting it clean and dry in the hopper for direct use as boiler fuel.
Clean Air Exhaust
The cleaned air exits the cyclone top — with residual fine bran dust typically meeting emission standards for rice mill exhausts in non-urban areas.
Recommended Variants
Standard MS Cyclone
Standard MS cyclone for rice husk and grain dust separation — most common in Indian rice mills.
Most RecommendedMulti-Stage Cyclone
Primary large cyclone for coarse husk followed by secondary cyclone for fine bran recovery.
Food-Grade SS Cyclone
Stainless steel for food-grade grain mill applications requiring hygiene compliance.
Husk Conveyor Integrated
Cyclone with integral screw conveyor for automatic husk transport to boiler or storage silo.

Key Features
- No moving parts inside the cyclone body — zero maintenance consumables unlike bag filters
- Handles high-temperature dust streams up to 350°C where fabric bag filters cannot be used
- Handles abrasive, sticky, or hygroscopic dust where bag filters would blind quickly
- Compact vertical installation footprint suits tight industrial plant layouts
- MS, SS304, FRP, and PP construction options to match dust chemical properties
- Multi-cyclone battery arrangement for higher flow rates with better separation efficiency
- Dust discharge through rotary valve or manual dump valve into hopper or bag
- Works pressure drop test certificate with measured inlet/outlet static pressure data

FAQs
A well-designed cyclone achieves 85 to 95 percent mass recovery of rice husk from the dehusker aspiration airstream. The collected husk is 92 to 95 percent pure — suitable for direct use as boiler fuel.
Yes. Rice husk dust is combustible and can form explosive concentrations. Cyclone systems should have anti-static earthing on all equipment and no open spark sources near the cyclone body.
A medium rice mill processing 10 TPH generates approximately 2.5 TPH of husk with calorific value of 3,200 to 3,500 kcal/kg. At current husk prices, the cyclone provides significant fuel value recovery.
Yes. Smooth internal surface finish and steep cone angle reduce bran adhesion. Periodic inspection and cleaning of the cyclone cone is recommended for sticky bran applications.
Yes. Vayuvents has supplied to rice mills across Punjab, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Standard configurations for common airflow ranges are available with 2 to 3 week lead time.
Yes. The cyclone discharge connects to the furnace fuel feeding system via screw conveyor or pneumatic transport pipe. Vayuvents can design the discharge hopper and rotary valve to interface with your specific husk furnace system.
