A Poultry EC Farm Exhaust Fan uses an EC (electronically commutated) permanent magnet motor that operates at variable speed under proportional control from a climate controller. Unlike standard induction motor fans that run at full speed or stop completely, EC motor fans run at exactly the speed needed to maintain the temperature setpoint — reducing energy consumption by 30 to 50% and providing far more precise temperature stability in the poultry house.

EC motor technology is the current international standard for energy-efficient poultry and greenhouse ventilation.
