Hot Air Blower for Pharmaceutical Drying — Manufacturer & Supplier
Vayuvents Pvt. Ltd. manufactures and supplies GMP-compliant hot air blowers for pharmaceutical drying applications — fluid bed dryers (FBD), multi-layer tray dryers, spray dryers, granulation dryers, and API drying ovens in formulation and bulk drug manufacturing plants.
Pharmaceutical drying is a critical process step where moisture content must be reduced to precise specification levels — typically 0.5 to 2.0 percent in oral solid dosage forms and even lower in some APIs and lyophilised products. The hot air blower provides the temperature-controlled air supply that drives moisture evaporation while maintaining compliance with cGMP requirements for the equipment.
Hot air blowers in pharmaceutical applications must comply with cGMP guidelines — constructed from SS316L with cleanable surface finishes, free from internal crevices where product can accumulate, and equipped with HEPA filters on the inlet to prevent contamination of the pharmaceutical product with airborne particles.
We have supplied to pharmaceutical manufacturers in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Baddi (Himachal Pradesh), and Sikkim — covering API, oral solid dosage, and herbal nutraceutical applications with full cGMP documentation support.
How It Works in This Application
HEPA-Filtered Air Intake
Incoming air is first filtered through HEPA filters to remove all particles above 0.3 microns, preventing contamination of the pharmaceutical product with airborne particulates.
Hot Air Supply
The pharmaceutical hot air blower supplies HEPA-filtered air through a heating system (electric heater, steam coil, or heat pump) to achieve the required inlet air temperature.
Product Drying
Hot air enters the fluid bed dryer, tray dryer, or spray dryer and contacts the wet pharmaceutical granules, powder, or solution, evaporating moisture into the airstream.
Exhaust Filtration
Moist air exiting the dryer passes through bag filters to capture pharmaceutical dust before the exhaust blower discharges to atmosphere, preventing API loss and environmental contamination.

FAQs
Pharmaceutical hot air blowers for product contact applications require internal surface roughness of Ra 0.8 micrometres or better, with Ra 0.4 for high-potency API applications. All welds must be internally polished to the same specification. Vayuvents provides surface roughness certificates with measured Ra values at all critical internal surfaces.
Pharmaceutical fluid bed dryers require HEPA-filtered inlet air with particle count equivalent to ISO 8 (Grade D) or better to prevent contamination of granules or powder with airborne particles. Vayuvents designs hot air blower systems with HEPA pre-filter housing to achieve the required inlet air quality.
Yes. Vayuvents provides Installation Qualification and Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) documentation support for pharmaceutical customers, including engineering documentation, material certifications, calibration records, and test protocols to support your equipment validation programme.
Yes. For pharmaceutical drying processes involving flammable organic solvents (ethanol, isopropanol, methanol, acetone), Vayuvents supplies hot air blowers with ATEX-certified flameproof motors and spark-resistant SS316L impellers compliant with IS 5572 and IEC 60079.
Fluid bed dryer inlet air temperatures typically range from 50 to 80 degrees Celsius for heat-sensitive granules to 80 to 120 degrees Celsius for less sensitive materials. The product outlet air temperature is typically 30 to 50 degrees Celsius. Vayuvents sizes the hot air blower and heating system based on your specific drying requirement.
Yes. Vayuvents has supplied to pharmaceutical manufacturers with WHO GMP, USFDA, EU GMP, and TGA-approved facilities. Our documentation package meets the requirements of international regulatory agencies for equipment qualification in approved pharmaceutical manufacturing sites.
