Hot Air Blower for Paint Curing Oven — Manufacturer & Supplier
Vayuvents Pvt. Ltd. manufactures and supplies high-temperature hot air blowers for paint curing oven applications — from small batch powder coating ovens to large continuous curing tunnels in automotive, appliance, and industrial coating lines.
Paint curing ovens and powder coating curing tunnels require precisely controlled hot air circulation to achieve complete and uniform coating cure. The hot air blower circulates air at the correct temperature throughout the oven chamber, ensuring that all parts reach and maintain the cure temperature for the required time — typically 160 to 200 degrees Celsius for powder coatings and 120 to 180 degrees Celsius for liquid paint systems.
Insufficient or uneven airflow in a curing oven leads to under-cured coating areas with poor adhesion, impact resistance, and corrosion protection. Over-temperature due to poor circulation causes discolouration, orange peel, and in severe cases, fire. The correct hot air blower selection and oven design is essential for consistent coating quality.
Vayuvents supplies hot air blowers for batch ovens, pass-through tunnel ovens, and conveyorised curing systems — matched to the specific oven dimensions, production rate, and coating system being cured.
How It Works in This Application
Oven Heat-Up Phase
The hot air blower circulates air through the heating element (electric, gas, or steam) to rapidly bring the oven chamber to the required curing temperature before the parts enter.
Part Loading and Cure Initiation
Parts coated with liquid paint or powder coating enter the oven. The hot air blower circulates air at the set temperature across all part surfaces, initiating the cure process.
Uniform Temperature Maintenance
The blower maintains uniform air velocity and temperature throughout the oven chamber — typically within plus or minus 5 degrees Celsius of the set point — ensuring consistent cure across all parts.
Cooling and Unloading
After the cure cycle, the oven cools before parts are unloaded. Some ovens have a forced cooling section with a separate fan that blows ambient air across the parts to accelerate cooling.
Recommended Variants
High-Temperature Recirculation Blower
Primary oven recirculation fan — circulates hot air throughout the oven chamber at the curing temperature (150 to 250 degrees Celsius).
Most RecommendedMakeup Air Supply Blower
Supplies fresh air to the oven to replace air exhausted with solvent vapours from liquid paint curing — maintains solvent concentration below explosive limit.
Exhaust Blower
Extracts solvent-laden air from liquid paint curing ovens to atmosphere — separate from recirculation fan.
Cooling Section Fan
Supplies ambient air to force-cool parts after curing cycle in tunnel ovens with integral cooling zones.

FAQs
Thermosetting powder coatings typically cure at 160 to 200 degrees Celsius for 10 to 20 minutes at part temperature. Thermoplastic powder coatings may cure at lower temperatures. The oven air temperature must be set higher than the part cure temperature to account for heat transfer from air to part — typically 180 to 220 degrees Celsius oven air temperature for 160 to 180 degrees Celsius part temperature.
The required airflow depends on oven volume and the need for temperature uniformity. As a general guide, 20 to 40 air changes per minute within the oven chamber are required for good temperature uniformity. For a 10 cubic metre batch oven, this requires 12,000 to 24,000 m3/hr of internal recirculation airflow. Vayuvents sizes the recirculation fan based on your oven dimensions and temperature uniformity requirement.
The recirculation blower is a high-temperature fan that circulates hot air within the closed oven chamber past the heating elements and across the parts — it handles very high airflow at the oven temperature. The makeup air blower is a separate smaller fan that supplies fresh ambient air into the oven to replace air exhausted with solvent vapours from liquid paint — it handles ambient temperature air at much lower flow rates.
Powder coating curing produces very little solvent vapour compared to liquid paint curing, and a small exhaust fan (5 to 10 percent of recirculation airflow) is sufficient for powder coating ovens. Liquid paint curing ovens require larger exhaust volumes to dilute solvent vapour below the Lower Explosive Limit — typically 10 to 25 percent of recirculation airflow depending on the solvent loading.
If the recirculation blower fails, hot air circulation stops and the temperature near the heating element rises rapidly while parts in the rest of the oven cool. This leads to overheating near the heater, potential fire risk, and uneven or incomplete cure on parts. All Vayuvents oven recirculation blowers are supplied with motor thermal overload protection and air flow monitoring as standard safety features.
